Belgacom ICS is Bité's interconnect partner from 2004. During this period we felt a lot of attention from this carrier. Belgacom ICS managed to sell the largest variety of services to Bité Group compared to other international carriers. It is the result of the proactive approach from Belgacom ICS' account management, close monitoring of customer needs and addressing them faster then competition.

MTN Cameroon



Traditionally, MTN Cameroon managed international traffic via two international partners and one national partner. The forces that apply to the market tended to erode the effective tariff of incoming international traffic as well as posing difficulties with ensuring all traffic was sourced reliably and continuously. Traffic shifting between operators as tariffs varied resulted in routes being ill dimensioned and potentially poor quality of service.

MTN Cameroon entered into the Group partnership with Belgacom ICS to secure reliable, stable and revenue generating international traffic. Clear KPI’s and SLA’s were defined and all voice, signalling and SMS would eventually be managed jointly by Belgacom ICS and MTN Cameroon.

No later than 2 months after the inception of the project, MTN Cameroon’s international traffic had grown by almost 50% and ASR’s were seen to be improving. Fraud management systems were installed and continuous reporting and tracking between Belgacom ICS and MTN Cameroon ensured a profitable partnership.
